History of MiCA 12/v

Mike & Carolyn met in Maine in 1990 and traveled extensively together while Mike was in the US Navy,  collecting & exploring the work of local artist and designers along the way. Mike is a Cincinnati native and coming back home to start a business was a long term goal.  Returning in 2003, they began MiCA Contemporary Craft LLC as a small storefront in O'Bryonville. In 2007 they toured Over-the-Rhine buildings that were in the beginning stages of re-hab and fell in love with the raw, storefront space at 1201 Vine Street, one of OTR's most recognizable and beautiful, historic buildings.  They opened their store, MiCA 12/v in November of 2007.  They are thrilled to have had a front row seat for the remarkable re-development of Over-the-Rhine..
