The rumors are out there - “MiCA is closing!” but it’s not true.  Here’s the truth: we are consolidating back down to one store and we chose the Over the Rhine/Gateway Quarter store due to the overwhelmingly positive response we’ve had to that location since we opened it 2 years ago.  Hooray! -We love being a part of the revitalization of Over the Rhine and the strange state of the economy has done nothing to change our minds about the positive direction that area is going.  After the third customer asked me to transfer an item to the Over the Rhine store from the O’Bryonville store so they could pay for it there and support that specific location I realized how strongly most of our customers are pulling for good things to continue to happen there.  And MiCA 12/v outsold the O’Bryonville store very consistently over the last two years.  So, when we had to close a store due to a family emergency back in November (everyone is okay, phew!) because we didn’t have enough help to run it, and we missed enough of our daughter’s choir performances, and we’d amassed enough goofy mistakes brought on by being frazzled and over-worked, it was a no-brainer to choose to relocate the O’Bryonville store to Over the Rhine.  The good news is that everything will be back under one roof - no more being disappointed if you saw something online and went to see it in person to find out it’s in the other store.  No more calling one number for one store and finding out you called the wrong location.  And best of all, two owners available to give you our full attention and make sure your questions get answered and you get all the help you need.   

The last day we will be open to the public in the O’Bryonville store is Monday, January 25th.

Prior to that, and starting January 15th, our Annual Sale will begin in both stores!!!  Come find great deals in both locations and help us lighten the load we’ll need to move and shift so we can make way for more great new items.

Lastly, thank you so much for your support over the last 6 1/2 years.  We hope you stick with us & come down to Over the Rhine to see what new and wonderful things we will continue to find for you.  We will miss being a part of the O’Bryonville Business community, but we’re so excited to show those of you who haven’t tried the Gateway Quarter what a great, vital, important, beautiful neighborhood it is.  Come see us in Over the Rhine.
